SASC Annual Report and AGM
SASC Annual Report and AGM
Annual General Meeting
SASC holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in June each year. Minutes from the AGM are publicly available and can be downloaded from this page as well as the Chair's Annual Report.
Annual Report and Financial Statements
Company Law requires directors to prepare an annual report and financial statement which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as reported at the end of the financial year and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing financial statements, the directors are required to:
- keep proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the company.
- prepare the annual financial statements on the going concern basis (unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business).
- select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.
- make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
- ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act.
- safeguard the assets of the company and hence take reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
